These terms apply to the use of BromeoCook: the apps for iPhone and Android, the web app at app.bromeocook.com and the website bromeocook.com (together “the service”). BromeoCook is a service of The Gatekeeper Enterprises, Eygelshoven, Chamber of Commerce (KvK) 81476817 (“we”). By creating an account you agree to these terms.
1. The service
BromeoCook lets you save, import, write, plan and share recipes. Some features use artificial intelligence (AI), for example to extract recipes from links or photos and to create photos. AI can make mistakes: always check amounts, cooking times, temperatures and allergens before you start cooking.
2. Your account
- You must be 16 or older, or have permission from a parent or guardian.
- You provide accurate details and keep your password secret. You are responsible for what happens with your account.
- You can delete your account yourself at any time in the app. See the Delete your account page.
3. Your content
- Recipes, photos, notes and reviews you add remain yours.
- If you share a recipe with a link or in Discover, you allow us to show that recipe, the name you entered and its photos to other users for as long as it is shared. Others can save a shared recipe; they then get their own copy for personal use.
- Only share content you have the rights to. Recipes you import from websites or social media belong to their creators: use them for yourself and do not share them in Discover without permission. For imported recipes we keep a link to the source.
- You may not post content that is unlawful, offensive, discriminatory, misleading or harmful, or that infringes the rights of others. Reviews must be about the recipe and honest.
- We may remove content that breaks these terms and block accounts in case of (repeated) abuse. Recipe creators can remove reviews on their recipe. Seen something that isn’t right? Report it via the contact form.
4. Free and Premium
- BromeoCook is free to use. Some features have a monthly limit on the free plan or are only available with Premium. The app shows which features belong to Premium and which limits apply; this may change over time.
- Premium is an in-app subscription purchased through the App Store or Google Play. You see the price before you buy. Payment, renewal, cancellation and refunds follow Apple’s or Google’s terms.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the period in your Apple or Google account. You keep Premium until the end of the paid period.
- Right of withdrawal: for digital services in the EU you have a 14-day cooling-off period. Because Premium is delivered immediately after purchase, the App Store and Google Play ask you to agree to immediate delivery when buying, which ends the right of withdrawal. Refunds are requested from Apple or Google.
5. Availability
We do our best to keep BromeoCook working well and securely, but we cannot guarantee that the service is always available without interruptions or errors. We may change, extend or (with reasonable notice) end the service. If we stop BromeoCook, you will be able to view and copy your recipes beforehand.
6. Liability
- Recipes, nutrition information and AI results are meant as an aid. You cook at your own responsibility; take care of food safety and allergies yourself.
- We are not liable for indirect or consequential damage. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for Premium in the 12 months before the damage, or €50 if you do not have Premium. This does not apply in case of intent or gross negligence.
7. Privacy
How we handle your personal data is described in the privacy policy.
8. Changes
We may change these terms. We will announce important changes in the app at least 30 days in advance. If you do not agree, you can delete your account.
9. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by Dutch law. If you have a complaint, please contact us first via the contact form; we are happy to find a solution together. If that fails, the competent court in the Netherlands has jurisdiction, unless the law gives you as a consumer another choice. You can also submit a complaint via the European ODR platform: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
The Dutch version of this document prevails in case of differences.
